Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Vertical Transportation Engineer to join our expanding VT team in the UK. You will design, develop, and review lifts, escalators and moving walkways across modernisation, new installation and maintenance projects.

Qualifications

NVQ4, HNC or equivalent lift engineering qualification.
Extensive vertical transportation experience from lift contracting or consulting background.
Strong analytical knowledge of engineering principles.
Team-oriented, multidisciplinary problem solving.
Proficient with passenger traffic analysis software (Elevate) and CAD/BIM tools.

Responsibilities

Develop vertical transportation design concepts and determine lift sizes and speeds for various buildings.
Undertake lift traffic analysis and report generation at key RIBA stages.
Produce drawings and specifications for VT projects and coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
Inspect installations and witness testing on site and contribute to project meetings.
Support the VT team and undertake site surveys for reports.
