The Opportunity

This role primarily involves managing risk assessment and mitigation activities within our supply chain, with an initial focus on data privacy requirements. You will develop into managing legislative compliance and optimizing provisions in supplier agreements. You will design and lead processes to ensure excellence in due diligence that is maintained throughout supplier relationships, ensuring compliance and accessible information to support decisions. You will be recognized as an expert in this area, supporting others in the procurement process. The role reports to the Head of Vendor Risk & Assurance.

Within the Procurement Function and reporting to the Head of Vendor Risk & Assurance, you will collaborate with category leads and other key roles to embed sustainable, ethical, social value, and inclusivity improvements across all activities, aligning with the firm’s strategy and values. Your work will focus on sustainable development, decarbonization, and organizational values—Arup.

Is this role right for you?

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have a clear understanding of GDPR and similar data protection regulations within the context of commercial contracts.
  • Can draft and administer data privacy contractual clauses, including the application of SCCs for international transfers.
  • Have experience with supply chain/procurement risk management across various areas.
  • Possess a strong services procurement background or legal advisory experience, comfortable with B2B procurement contracts.
  • Have a strong compliance mindset, experience working in an international organization.
