Opportunity for Risk Professional in a Niche Insurer

Are you seeking greater flexibility to work from home?

This established, niche insurer is offering a fully remote position, allowing you to work from home every day.

In this role within the 2nd line of defense, you will partner with 1st line operations across Claims, Underwriting, and Distribution to support effective risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring activities.

You will oversee and challenge 1st line risk management processes, controls, and decision-making, particularly concerning operational and conduct risks. Additionally, you'll support the enhancement and execution of the company's risk management framework, lead RCSAs, develop risk assessments, and monitor risk appetite with 1st line stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will also include assisting in the preparation and delivery of risk and compliance reports to senior management, Board committees, and regulatory bodies as needed.

This role offers scope for you to make it your own, with encouragement to challenge the status quo and help develop the risk culture within the business.

We are seeking an experienced Risk professional from the Financial Services sector. Broad Risk experience across multiple disciplines, including Operational and Conduct Risk, is preferred. Insurance sector experience is advantageous but not essential.

You should have experience developing risk assessments, executing RCSAs, and possess an analytical mindset, curiosity, and a willingness to learn. Excellent communication skills are essential.
