An established niche insurer is seeking a Risk Professional for a fully remote role, focusing on risk management processes while allowing flexibility. This is an established, niche insurer offering a fully remote position, allowing you to work from home every day.
In this role within 2nd line, you will partner with 1st line operations across Claims, Underwriting, and Distribution to support risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring activities.
You will oversee and challenge 1st line risk management processes, controls, and decision-making, focusing on operational and conduct risks. You will support enhancing and executing the company's risk management framework, lead RCSAs, develop risk assessments, and monitor risk appetite with stakeholders.
You will assist in preparing and delivering risk and compliance reports to senior management, Board committees, and regulators as needed.
The role offers scope for personal initiative and encourages challenging the status quo to develop the risk culture within the business.
Ideal candidates will be experienced Risk professionals from the Financial Services sector, with broad risk experience across multiple disciplines, including Operational and Conduct Risk. Insurance experience is advantageous but not essential.
You should have experience developing risk assessments, executing RCSAs, and possess an analytical, curious mindset with a willingness to learn. Excellent communication skills are essential.
