Job summary

Hawk Hiring is seeking an experienced automotive technician for a leading Coventry dealership network. You will perform servicing, health checks and warranty work to exact brand standards, while coordinating with service advisors on repair schedules.

The role offers a 35,000–45,000 base plus uncapped monthly bonus, a Monday–Friday pattern with Saturday on a rotating roster, and funded training through an official manufacturer academy including EV/Hybrid certifications.

Qualifications

• Experience in a dealership or fast-paced workshop delivering efficient repairs.
• Level 3 NVQ/IMI in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Active MOT tester accreditation is a plus but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and health checks to brand standards.
• Complete official warranty repairs and service bulletins.
• Use dealer diagnostics to trace engine, transmission and software faults.
• Record updates on digital job cards and liaise with service advisors on schedules.
• Keep work bays clean, safe and compliant with standards.

Core Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, preventative maintenance, and detailed vehicle health checks (VHC) to brand standards
• Complete official warranty repairs, service bulletins, and mechanical teardowns to manufacturer specifications
• Use official dealer diagnostic equipment to trace and resolve engine, transmission, and software faults
• Record accurate technical updates on digital job cards and liaise with service advisors regarding repair schedules
• Keep work bays clean, well-maintained, and fully compliant with safety standards

Candidate Profile

• Background: Proven track record in a dealership or fast-paced workshop setting focused on efficient repair delivery
• Qualifications: Level 3 NVQ / IMI in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent time-served credential)
• MOT Status: Active MOT Tester accreditation is a strong asset for starting pay, but not essential to apply
• Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence
