Job summary

Hawk Hiring in Birmingham is seeking a Vehicle Technician to carry out manufacturer-scheduled servicing, warranty work and diagnostics in a premium main dealership environment.

You will access fully funded factory training pathways, EV/Hybrid accreditation, and a clear path to Master Tech status, with a competitive £35k-£45k base and uncapped monthly productivity. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or time-served equivalent.
• MOT status is advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine manufacturer-scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Carry out official warranty repairs and recall updates.
• Use dealer software to diagnose engine, electrical, and software faults.
• Prepare accurate technical reports on digital job cards and liaise with service advisors.
• Keep the workshop clean and comply with health and safety regulations.

Core Responsibilities

• Conduct routine manufacturer-scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance, and detailed vehicle health checks (VHC)
• Complete official warranty repairs, recall updates, and mechanical teardowns to strict brand guidelines
• Utilize official dealer diagnostic software to systematically trace and resolve engine, electrical, and software faults
• Document accurate technical reports on digital job cards and interface with service advisors regarding repair timelines
• Maintain clean working areas and enforce health and safety regulations at all times

Candidate Profile

• Background: Proven track record in a dealership or fast-paced workshop setting focused on efficient repair delivery
• Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent time-served credential)
• MOT Status: Active MOT Tester accreditation is a strong asset for starting pay, but not essential to apply
• Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence
