Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience as a Vehicle Trimmer/Upholsterer or Trimmer working with leather.
• Experience with luxury and prestige vehicles desirable.
• Excellent sewing, gluing, stretching and trimming skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and sketches.
• Strong attention to detail and dexterity.
• Excellent English communication.
• Ability to work in a busy workshop and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, replace and modify vehicle leather interiors to a top standard.
• Measure, cut, sew, glue, stretch and trim leather components.
• Disassemble and reassemble vehicle interiors efficiently.
• Work with luxury materials such as leather, veneers and precious metals.
• Manage veneer repairs and develop bespoke interior trims.
• Support pattern trials and process development initiatives.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work carried out.
• Mentor apprentices and junior team members.
• Uphold a clean, safe, and tidy workshop.
• Represent the company positively when engaging with international distributors.

Duties of the Vehicle Trimmer / Upholsterer:

Requirements of the Vehicle Trimmer / Upholsterer:

- Excellent sewing, gluing, stretching, and trimming skills

- Ability to disassemble and reassemble vehicle interiors accurately

- Exceptional attention to detail and dexterity in working from blueprints and sketches

- Practical problem-solving skills and methodical work approach

- Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively within a busy workshop

- Good communication skills and a strong command of English

- Ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and clients
