Job summary

Hawk Hiring LTD in Clevedon is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our busy workshop. You will perform servicing, inspections, and repairs to high standards in a clean, professional environment.

We offer a stable, long-term role with Monday to Friday, 08:00–18:00 hours and zero weekend shifts; a pension scheme, staff parking, and a strong local reputation. NVQ 2/3 or equivalent, UK driving licence, and hands-on diagnostic experience are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or City & Guilds / time-served equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Proven hands-on experience diagnosing, servicing and repairing vehicles.
• F-Gas certification preferred or interest in obtaining it.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing, routine maintenance, safety inspections and repairs to high technical standards.
• Inspect and assess brakes, suspension, steering, exhausts, and timing assemblies.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic software and equipment.
• Maintain precise digital job records while following health and safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with fellow mechanics to keep the workshop running smoothly.
