Job summary

Halfords Wakefield is seeking a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to service and repair vehicles at our Fusion centre, delivering a first-class customer experience.

You will perform diagnostics and common repair work, including brakes, steering/suspension, engines, clutches and timing belts, and assist with electrical diagnostics as needed.

Applicants should hold a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served, and possess a full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points.

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Must have a full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experience in diagnostic work (brakes, steering, suspension, engine) and complex repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic work on vehicles (brakes, steering, suspension, engine).
• Carry out complex repairs and replacements (clutches, timing belts, electrical).
• Contribute to first-class customer service and vehicle handover.
