Job summary

Halfords Garage Services in Canterbury is seeking a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to service and repair vehicles to high standards within our Fusion centre. You will perform diagnostics, clutches and timing belt work, and tackle complex repairs across electrics, brakes and suspension.

You should hold a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent) or have time-served experience, plus a valid UK driving licence with few points. A proactive, customer‑focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
• Must have a full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points
• Experience as a Technician/Mechanic with diagnostic capabilities (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and complex repairs

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and repair/replacement work.
• Perform diagnostics and complex repairs (clutches, timing belts, electrics, brakes, steering and suspension).
• Progress and improve skills through training and ATA/MOT qualifications.
