Job summary

Halfords is recruiting a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to service and repair vehicles, including diagnostics and more complex work on electrics, brakes, steering and suspension. You’ll work across our Autocentres and retail support teams, with a view to progressing through hybrid training and ATA/MOT qualifications.

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Must have a full driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experienced technician able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repairs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and repair/replacement work including clutches and timing belt replacements.
• Perform diagnostics and fault finding across electrical and engine systems.
• Carry out repairs such as brakes, steering/suspension, cooling and injectors as needed.
