Job summary

Vertu Hyundai Nottingham is looking for a Prep Technician to join our team. You will perform pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) on new and used vehicles to high standards, within manufacturer guidelines, and in a timely manner.

• A relevant formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3.
• Current experience as a Vehicle Technician.
• MOT license preferred but not essential.

• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI's) on new and used vehicles.
• Maintain high standards and comply with manufacturer guidelines.
• Work to agreed time frames while maintaining productivity and customer service.
• Aim for first-time fixes and quality workmanship.

We are offering a basic salary between £29,200 & £36,440 depending on skills and experience. This is based on a 42 hour working week and an additional over-performance bonus opportunity.

Your role as a Vehicle Technician is crucial in delivering an exceptional customer experience, built on trust and honesty. As a Prep Technician you will be responsible for carrying out pre-delivery inspections (PDI's) on new and used vehicles. You will ensure the PDI's are carried out to the highest possible standard and within manufacturer guidelines. You will need to work to agreed time frames, and maintain a high level of productivity, whilst ensuring exceptional customer service at all times. Quality workmanship and achieving first-time fixes are core values that guide everything we do.

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:

• A relevant formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3
• Current experience as a Vehicle Technician
• MOT license preferred but not essential
• Your own set of tools
• A full UK driving licence
