Job summary

Vertu BMW Prep Centre Sunderland is seeking a Prep Technician to perform pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles, ensuring work meets manufacturer guidelines. You will work to tight time frames while upholding high productivity and exceptional service standards.

The role requires an automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 qualification, current Vehicle Technician experience, and your own tools, with a UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• A relevant formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3
• Current experience as a Vehicle Technician
• MOT license preferred but not essential
• Your own set of tools
• A full UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) on new and used vehicles
• Ensure PDIs are completed to manufacturer guidelines
• Work to agreed time frames while maintaining high productivity
• Deliver excellent customer service at all times
• Maintain quality workmanship and aim for first-time fixes

We are offering a basic salary up to £35,720 plus a £4,000 sign on bonus! You will receive £2,000 in month 1 of your employment with us and £2,000 in month 12 plus excellent company benefits!
Your role as a Vehicle Technician is crucial in delivering an exceptional customer experience, built on trust and honesty. As a Prep Technician you will be responsible for carrying out pre-delivery inspections (PDI's) on new and used vehicles. You will ensure the PDI's are carried out to the highest possible standard and within manufacturer guidelines. You will need to work to agreed time frames, and maintain a high level of productivity, whilst ensuring exceptional customer service at all times. Quality workmanship and achieving first-time fixes are core values that guide everything we do.

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:

• A relevant formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3
• Current experience as a Vehicle Technician
