Job summary

Halfords Autocentres is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to service and repair vehicles, with opportunities to gain MOT Tester qualification and a salary uplift on completion. You'll work on diagnostics, complex repairs and routine servicing in a busy workshop, contributing to safety and customer satisfaction.

The role offers a base salary with on-target earnings and uncapped bonuses, plus extensive employee benefits, 5.6 weeks leave, and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years' Vehicle Technician/Mechanic experience in a workshop environment.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Willing to undertake MOT Tester training.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, repairs and diagnostic work.
• Perform MOT tests when qualified.
• Carry out clutch and timing belt replacements and other complex repairs.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained to high safety standards.
