Job summary

Halfords Autocentres is recruiting Vehicle Technicians. You will service and repair vehicles, progress to MOT testing once qualified, and benefit from a salary uplift when you complete the MOT Tester qualification. The role includes a structured bonus scheme and a focus on safety and quality.

You will work in a fast-paced workshop, with opportunities to advance through ATA qualifications and hybrid training, supporting customers across the UK’s largest automotive service network.

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of Vehicle Technician/Mechanic experience in a workshop.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experience with diagnostics and complex repairs.
• Willingness to undertake MOT Tester training and qualification.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and repair work, including more complex tasks such as clutch and timing belt replacements and diagnostics.
• Perform MOT tests to DVSA standards once qualified and carry out maintenance and repairs.
• Contribute to high standards of vehicle safety and roadworthiness across the workshop.
