Job summary

BCT Resourcing is recruiting on behalf of a large independent automotive group for a Vehicle Technician. Based at a busy retail site, you will maintain stock vehicles, perform health checks, servicing and repairs, and assist with MOT testing where qualified.

You will join a five-day rota, with modern workshop facilities, uniform provided, free onsite parking and staff benefits. Level 3 qualification preferred; MOT licence desirable. Full UK driving licence required.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Vehicle Technician qualification preferred (Level 2 considered with relevant experience).
• Current MOT Tester licence highly desirable.
• Experience as a Vehicle Technician, Service Technician or Prep Technician.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle health checks on used vehicle stock.
• Complete pre-sale inspections and quality checks.
• Service and maintain vehicles according to standards.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults.
• Replace wear-and-tear items such as brakes, batteries and suspension.
• Carry out MOT tests where qualified.
• Prepare used vehicles to retail standard, including PDI when workload allows.
• Complete final quality inspections before customer collection.
• Work with sales to ensure vehicles are ready for handover.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.
