Job summary

Hawk Hiring LTD in Didcot is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our busy, close-knit team at a long-established independent workshop. The role offers a £35,000–£40,000 basic salary, Monday–Friday hours, and a modern workshop where your expertise is respected.

You will service vehicles, perform diagnostics with up-to-date tools, and work with a small, skilled team to ensure high first-time fix rates.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair; City & Guilds or time-served equivalent
• Full UK driving licence required; MOT tester licence preferred but not required
• F-Gas certification preferred
• Must possess own hand tools to perform daily repair tasks

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine vehicle servicing, safety health checks and general mechanical maintenance across a wide variety of makes and models
• Utilise up-to-date diagnostic tools and scanners to troubleshoot, investigate and resolve faults
• Complete thorough maintenance and diagnostic work to maintain high first-time fix quality
• Work productively with a skilled team to maintain a smooth workshop flow
