Job summary

Hawk Hiring is seeking a practical Vehicle Technician for an established independent service center in Warwick. You will handle a diverse mix of makes and models in a technician-first environment that prioritises quality workmanship.

Salary range £35,000–£45,000 basic per annum (DOE) with a team performance incentive. Monday–Friday with Saturdays on a rota basis; 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension, free parking, and trade parts discounts available.

Qualifications

• Time-served mechanic with solid confidence in heavy mechanical repair work and diagnostic fault isolation.
• Level 3 NVQ / IMI in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent time-served garage background.
• MOT Smart Card / active MOT Tester licence preferred, but not essential to apply.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Execute core mechanical repairs, including timing chains/belts, clutch kits, engine overhauls, and gearbox replacements.
• Use multi-brand diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical faults accurately.
• Complete routine servicing, safety inspections, brake/suspension repairs, and pre-MOT health checks.
• Write detailed repair notes on job sheets and keep front-desk staff informed on job timelines.
• Maintain clean working bays and follow standard workshop health and safety protocols.
