Perfect Placement UK Ltd is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Vehicle Technician to join their reputable dealership in Gateshead. The role offers a stable career within a busy workshop with ongoing training and professional growth.

The position includes a 40-hour week (Mon-Fri with 1 in 3 Saturdays), ongoing manufacturer training, and a competitive salary with an OTE package. Applications welcome from qualified technicians with a full UK driving licence and NVQ Level 3 in vehicle repair.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in vehicle repair.
• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic, ideally within a dealership or independent garage.
• Strong diagnostic skills in both mechanical and electrical systems.
• Self-motivated with a focus on delivering quality workmanship.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and follow manufacturer procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive vehicle health checks and diagnostics on Ford Commercial Vehicles.
• Perform servicing, inspections, and repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Fit accessories and additional customer-requested modifications.
• Carry out pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles.
• Identify and report any additional work during inspections.
• Ensure all warranty repairs and aftersales work adhere to manufacturer guidelines.
• Road test vehicles to verify fault rectification.
• Complete all relevant documentation accurately and thoroughly.
