Job summary

Ashfield District Council is seeking a highly motivated Vehicle Technician in Sutton-In-Ashfield. You will be a qualified Level 3 HGV vehicle technician, with MOT testing qualifications or be willing to undertake training for MOT Testing, to maintain a varied fleet including 32Tonne refuse vehicles and tractors.

The role requires a proactive approach to vehicle maintenance, safety compliance, and collaboration with highways and transport teams.

Qualifications

• Qualified Level 3 HGV vehicle technician.
• Willing to undertake MOT testing training if not qualified.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a large and varied fleet of vehicles and plant equipment.
• Carry out MOT testing when qualified, or complete training to obtain qualification.
• Support transport operations across highways and traffic management.
