Job summary

First Bus Blantyre Depot is seeking a NVQ/SVQ Level 3 qualified Vehicle Technician with strong electrical knowledge to join our workshop team. You will work 37 hours per week, 6am-2pm, across five days in a permanent role with overtime opportunities.

We offer a £21.54 per hour base rate, enhanced weekend rate, and a £2,000 joining bonus, with PPE provided and opportunities for career development and benefits such as pension and travel discounts.

Qualifications

• Qualified NVQ/SVQ Level 3 (or City & Guilds equivalent) in vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Ability to multi-skill within an engineering environment with preferably electrically biased experience.
• Valid UK driving license; PCV license desirable with company support to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and carry out vehicle electrical repairs, servicing, and parts replacement.
• Diagnose vehicle electrical faults and specify the correct repair method and parts to be used.
• Carry out vehicle road testing to identify defects or after repairs.
• Comply with HSE legislation and Group Policies.
