Job summary

Octane Recruitment is representing a premier automotive retailer seeking a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic in Huddersfield. The role requires a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or a Level 2 with 3 years’ experience, and involves servicing and repairing a wide range of vehicles.

You will work Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5pm with Saturday mornings on a rota. Benefits include pension, life assurance, 30 days holidays, vehicle discounts, wellbeing support, and recognition

Qualifications

Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or Level 2 with 3+ years' experience.
Own a well-stocked toolbox suitable for workshop duties.
Right to work in the UK and a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

Maintain, service, and repair a diverse range of customer and dealership vehicles in line with manufacturer guidelines.
Carry out routine servicing, safety inspections, vehicle health checks, and complex diagnostic fault-finding.
Work on mechanical and electrical systems, including brakes, clutches, suspensions, and gearboxes.
