Job summary
Octane Recruitment is seeking a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic for a leading automotive retail group in the Hamilton area. A Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification, or Level 2 with 3 years' workshop experience, is required.

Qualifications
- Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (NVQ/City & Guilds) or equivalent; Level 2 with 3 years' experience accepted.
- Own a well-stocked toolbox suitable for workshop duties.
- Experience carrying out servicing, health checks, fault diagnosis, and general mechanical/electrical repairs.
Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing, repairs and health checks as per manufacturer guidelines.
- Perform diagnostics across mechanical, braking, electrical and powertrain systems using modern workshop tools.
- Complete warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications and document job cards accurately.
- Conduct road tests to ensure faults are resolved before handover.
- Collaborate with Service Advisors and workshop management to maintain safety and efficiency.
