Job summary

Octane Recruitment advertises a Vehicle Technician opportunity at a leading UK automotive retail group in Crewe. The role requires a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or Level 2 with at least 3 years in a workshop environment.

You will service, diagnose and repair vehicles using state-of-the-art diagnostic tools. Benefits include competitive salary, progression opportunities, substantial bonuses, and overtime.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (NVQ/City & Guilds) or Level 2 with 3+ years workshop experience.
• Own a well-stocked toolbox suited for workshop duties.
• Experience servicing, health checks, fault diagnosis and mechanical/electrical repairs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine vehicle servicing, repairs and health checks per manufacturer guidelines and customer requests.
• Perform diagnostics across mechanical, braking, electrical and powertrain systems using modern workshop tools.
• Complete warranty repairs to manufacturer specs and ensure accurate job cards.
• Conduct road tests to verify faults are resolved before handover.
• Collaborate with Service Advisors and workshop management to maintain safety and efficiency.
