Job summary

Halfords Bridgend is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to service and repair vehicles, including complex diagnostics in areas such as electrics, brakes, steering and suspension. You will handle tasks from standard servicing to timing belt replacements.

The role offers a base salary of £32,000 with an uncapped monthly bonus averaging £6,600 per year, and on-target earnings up to £38,600 per year. Hybrid training and ATA/MOT qualifications are available.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Full valid driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experience as a Technician/Mechanic with diagnostic capabilities (brakes, steering/suspension).

Responsibilities

• Carry out diagnostic work on vehicles.
• Perform servicing, repairs and replacements (brakes, clutches, timing belts).
• Work on electrical systems and diagnostics.
