Job summary

Halfords National Tyres and Autocare is hiring a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to service and repair vehicles, including clutch and timing belt work and diagnostics across brakes, steering and suspension. You’ll tackle more complex tasks and ensure high-quality workmanship in our busy Autocentres.

You’ll have access to hybrid training plus ATA and MOT Tester qualifications, with career progression opportunities, a comprehensive benefits package and an uncapped bonus scheme.

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Must have a full driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair and replacements (coolant/diesel injectors, head gasket, brakes, electrical).

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repair work including more complex tasks such as clutch and timing belt replacements.
• Carrying out diagnostics and repair across brakes, steering/suspension, and electrical systems.
