Hawk Hiring LTD is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / VAG Specialist in Godalming. You will perform routine servicing, complex repairs, timing belt/chain replacement, and systematic diagnostic troubleshooting using ODIS on VW group vehicles.

Applicants should have NVQ 2/3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, solid diagnostics knowledge, and a full UK driving licence with own tools. On-site role with a friendly, family-run atmosphere and long-term security.

Pay & Benefits

• Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 basic per annum (tailored directly to your hands-on experience and technical skill level)
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (100% WEEKEND FREEDOM with strictly zero weekend shifts required!)

Role Overview

Seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / VAG Specialist to join our established independent garage and service centre team in Godalming. You will carry out routine servicing, complex mechanical repairs, timing chain/belt replacements, and systematic diagnostic troubleshooting using official ODIS software across VAG platforms and general customer vehicles to high industry standards.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or City & Guilds / time-served equivalent) with proven workshop experience on VAG platforms (Audi, VW, SEAT, Škoda)
• Solid foundational knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, routine maintenance, and mechanical repair
• Valid DVSA MOT Smart Card or F-Gas certification is advantageous, but not essential
• Full UK driving licence & own hand tools
