Job summary

Hawk Hiring LTD is seeking a skilled German Vehicle Technician to join our award-winning workshop on the Worthing/Sompting border. You will perform advanced diagnostics on petrol, diesel, and high-voltage EV systems, and execute major mechanical overhauls to exacting manufacturer standards on prestige German brands.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, ideally 5+ years of high-standard experience, and a full UK driving licence with your own hand tools.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
• Ideally 5+ years of main dealer or high-standard independent experience (German brand or EV exposure a plus).
• Solid knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, routine maintenance, and complex mechanical repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics on petrol, diesel, and high-voltage EV systems.
• Carry out major mechanical overhauls (clutches, timing belts/chains) and routine servicing.
• Work to manufacturer standards on prestige German brands (Audi, BMW, Porsche, Mercedes, VW).
• Diagnose faults and address complex mechanical repairs.

Role Overview

Seeking a skilled German Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our award-winning workshop team. You will be responsible for carrying out advanced diagnostics on petrol, diesel, and high-voltage EV systems, executing major mechanical overhauls, and handling routine maintenance across top-tier German engineering to exceptionally high standards.

Pay & Benefits

• Salary: £32,000 – £50,000 basic per annum (dependent on experience)
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (NO WEEKENDS & Early 4:30 PM finish every Friday)

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent technical qualification).
• Ideally 5+ years of main dealer or high-standard independent experience (German brand or EV exposure is a huge plus).
• Solid foundational knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, routine maintenance, and complex mechanical repairs.
• Full UK driving licence & own hand tools.
