Job summary

Octane Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Mobile Vehicle Technician to join one of the UK’s leading fleet and vehicle rental businesses. You will service, maintain and repair vehicles at customer sites from a mobile workshop, with support from a nationwide network.

The role offers a Level 3 qualification path (or Level 2 with 3 years’ experience), a healthy salary, overtime and a generous benefits package, plus ongoing hybrid and EV training.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mobile Vehicle Technician.
• Full UK Driving Licence and strong diagnostic ability.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs at customer locations.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Complete warranty work and manufacturer recalls.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and identify additional repair requirements.
• Deliver outstanding customer service on every visit.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.
• Work closely with workshop support teams for more complex repairs.
• Maintain accurate job records and documentation.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday + 1 in 4 Saturday Mornings

You would be working for one of the UK's leading vehicle rental specialists. 60 branches cover the UK, Ireland and Spain, and the workshops maintain and repair their own fleet. Within the UK, they operate circa 49,000 vans and 19,000 cars.

Mobile Vehicle Technician Role

• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability.
• Experience carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs.
• Able to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
