Job summary

Octane Recruitment is assisting a well-established independent workshop in Edenbridge to recruit a Vehicle Technician. The role involves servicing and maintenance across various vehicle makes and models, with a view to progression to a fully qualified technician.

You will join a supportive team, receive ongoing technical training, and work five days a week with Saturdays on a rota. A genuine pathway to long-term career development is offered along with a pension and a stable working environment.

Qualifications

• Servicing and routine maintenance on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
• Assist with mechanical repairs and fault diagnosis.
• Complete vehicle inspections and identify repair requirements.
• Support experienced technicians with more complex repair work.
• Accurately complete job cards and workshop documentation.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Maintain a clean and organised working environment while contributing to overall workshop productivity.

Responsibilities

Vehicle Technician Requirements

• Previous experience within a workshop environment as a Technician, Junior Technician or Trainee Mechanic.
• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent) is desirable.
• A genuine passion for the motor trade and a willingness to learn.
• Good mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Positive attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
