Job summary

Octane Recruitment is seeking a Vehicle Technician in Canterbury to join a busy workshop. You will service vehicles to manufacturer guidelines, perform health checks, diagnose faults and carry out repairs, with an on-target earnings of £45,000 and a base of £37,000 plus bonus.

Benefits include training, structured progression, and wellbeing support. Full UK driving licence required and right to work in the UK. Hours are Mon-Fri with Saturdays on a rotation.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic.
• UK Driving Licence required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing in line with manufacturer guidelines.
• Complete vehicle health checks using modern workshop technology.
• Diagnose faults and complete authorised mechanical repairs.
• Carry out warranty repairs and complete the required documentation.
• Road test vehicles to confirm faults have been rectified.
• Complete workshop paperwork accurately and to a high standard.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm, plus 1 in 3 Saturdays, 8:30am-12:30pm

Vehicle Technician Requirements

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician, Motor Vehicle Technician or Mechanic
• Experience from either a main dealership or independent garage will be considered
• Strong servicing, maintenance and repair skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work to high standards
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Right to work in the UK
• Previous manufacturer or brand experience is advantageous but not essential
