Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited is helping a leading main dealer in Stoke-on-Trent fill a Vehicle Technician position. The role requires 3+ years of workshop experience, Level 3 qualification, and a full UK driving license. MOT license is beneficial but not essential.

Salary up to £40,000 plus bonuses, with a Monday–Friday day shift and Saturday mornings on a rota. The successful candidate will perform servicing, maintenance and fault diagnosis across electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of workshop experience.
• NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds or Mechanical Engineering Level 3 (or equivalent).
• Full UK driving license.
• MOT license beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of all vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults, including warranty work where applicable.
• MOT testing duties if qualified.

Vehicle Technician Role:

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of all vehicles
• Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair, this work may include warranty approved work in line with our brand parameters
• Department of Transport (MOT) testing duties (if qualified)

Vehicle Technician Requirements:

• Full UK driving license
• NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds or Mechanical Engineering level 3 (or equivalent). We will also consider a level 2 if you have main dealership experience
