Job summary

Halfords is recruiting a Vehicle Technician/ Mechanic in the United Kingdom. You will be skilled in servicing, maintenance and repair, with the ability to tackle complex tasks like clutch and timing belt replacements and diagnostics across electrics, brakes, steering and suspension.

The role requires a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or time served) and a full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Full driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair and replacements (coolant/diesel injectors, head gasket, brakes, electrical).

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and repair/replacement work; capable of more complex tasks such as clutches and timing belt replacements and diagnostics.
• Carry out diagnostic work across areas including vehicle electrics, brake steering and suspension systems.
