Octane Recruitment is recruiting for a Vehicle Technician role in Hereford with a strong basic salary and manufacturer-backed progression. The position offers a salary structure up to £45,800 depending on experience and accreditation, plus over-performance bonus and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Automotive qualification is required or equivalent.
• Current experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic is required.
• MOT licence is desirable but not essential.
• Own set of tools and Full UK driving licence are required.
• Strong mechanical and fault-finding ability and a professional approach to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing and routine maintenance.
• Mechanical repairs across a range of vehicle systems.
• Fault finding and diagnostic work depending on experience.
• Carrying out vehicle inspections and identifying additional work.
• Ensuring repairs are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Working towards strong first-time-fix standards.
• Completing all relevant job cards and workshop documentation.
• Maintaining manufacturer and dealership standards.
• Working closely with the wider workshop and aftersales team.

Saturdays paid as x1.5 overtime 1 in 3 mornings

Vehicle Technician Role

As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for:

Vehicle Technician Requirements

• Level 3 Automotive qualification City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent
• Current experience working as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
• Main dealer experience would be advantageous but isn't essential
• MOT licence is desirable but not essential
• Own set of tools
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong mechanical and fault-finding ability
• Professional approach with a focus on quality workmanship
