Job summary

Octane Recruitment is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician for a busy main dealership workshop in Wolverhampton. You will service and repair vehicles to manufacturer standards, carry out diagnostics, and maintain high workmanship while supporting the workshop team.

Offering £32,000–£36,000 base, uncapped bonus with realistic earnings of £45,000+, paid overtime and MOT-related pay; plus ongoing manufacturer training and progression opportunities in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
• Experience as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic in a main dealer or independent garage considered.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing and routine maintenance.
• Complete mechanical and electrical repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high workmanship.

Clear career progression opportunitiesVehicle Technician - Role As a Vehicle Technician, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out vehicle servicing and routine maintenance
• Completing mechanical and electrical repairs to manufacturer standards
• Diagnosing faults using modern diagnostic equipment
• Completing repairs efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
• Carrying out electronic vehicle health checks and identifying additional work
• Accurately completing job cards and recording work undertaken
• Working closely with Service Advisors and the wider workshop team
• Maintaining high standards of workshop safety and professionalism
