Job summary

Van Mossel Automotive Group in Poole is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to service Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles at our Poole dealership. You will perform pre-delivery inspections, routine servicing and repairs to manufacturer standards, and maintain accurate job records.

The ideal candidate has NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent, a full UK driving licence, and VW Group experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience as a Vehicle Technician, VW Group experience is a plus.
• Professional with a customer-focused approach and team orientation.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for a talented Vehicle Technician to join our Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle dealership in Poole.

As a Vehicle Technician, you'll carry out pre-delivery inspections, routine servicing and maintenance on Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, completing accurate job records and following industry-recognised branded, warranty, health and safety guidelines to ensure every vehicle is prepared and returned to customers safely and to Volkswagen quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards, communicating issues back to the workshop controller and completing additional repair work as advised by managers or advisors
• Diagnose faults using approved diagnostic equipment, following Brand guidelines
• Complete documentation accurately and in line with brand guidelines
• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies
• Maintain warranty procedures and quality standards
• Ensure vehicles comply with industry safety standards when returned to the customer and any faults been reported and noted on the job cards

What you will need to be a Vehicle Technician at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle:

• Experience as a Vehicle Technician (VW Group experience would be an advantage)
• Strong mechanical knowledge and skilled within servicing and repair work
• A positive and inclusive attitude, who thrives in a collaborative, team environment
• Professional with a customer focused approach
• You must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification or equivalent
• Full UK driving licence

Hours of work will be:

42.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday: 8.00 am to 5.00 pm / NO WEEKENDS

A uniform will be provided
