Job summary

Vertu Honda Plymouth is seeking a Service & Maintenance Technician to join our aftersales team. You will service, maintain and repair vehicles to manufacturer standards, ensuring safety and quality.

Training is provided to help you progress within one of the UK's leading automotive retailers. You will use your experience as a Vehicle Technician, hold an appropriate automotive qualification, and bring your own tools along with a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent required.
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician.
• MOT Licence desirable but not essential.
• Own tools and full UK driving licence required.
• Strong commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair a wide range of vehicles to manufacturer standards.
• Perform diagnostics and repairs with a focus on first-time fixes.
• Work alongside a skilled team with opportunities for training and progression.

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Service & Maintenance Technician to join our successful aftersales team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a globally recognised brand in a professional, supportive, and modern workshop environment where your skills will be recognised and rewarded.

We are offering a basic salary of up to £36,950, depending on experience and qualifications, based on a 41-hour working week, Monday to Friday, plus an additional over-performance bonus opportunity.

To welcome you to the business, we are also offering a fantastic £4,000 bonus package, including:

• £2,000 Sign-On Bonus paid in Month 1
• £2,000 Retention Bonus paid in Month 13

About The Role

As a Service & Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering an outstanding customer motoring experience built on trust, quality and professionalism.

You’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of vehicles to manufacturer standards, ensuring every vehicle leaves the workshop safely and efficiently. From routine servicing and diagnostics to more complex repairs, you’ll take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and achieving first-time fixes.

Working alongside a talented team of technicians and supported by industry-leading training, you’ll have every opportunity to develop your skills and progress your career within one of the UK's largest automotive retailers.

What We’re Looking For

• A relevant Automotive qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician
• An MOT Licence (desirable but not essential)
• Your own set of tools
• A full UK driving licence
• A strong commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction
