Job summary

Vertu Ford Stoke is hiring a Commercial Service and Diagnostic Technician to join our expanding team. The role involves diagnosing, repairing and servicing vehicles to the highest standards.

We offer a basic salary of £28,000 to £38,600 (based on a 40-hour week), with Saturdays paid as overtime and an additional £4,000 sign-on bonus (£2,000 in month 1 and £2,000 in month 13). Vertu Motors provides extensive training and clear career progression across 190+ locations.

Qualifications

• Qualified automotive technician with NVQ/C&G Level 3.
• Current experience as a Vehicle Technician in a workshop.
• Own set of tools and a full UK driving licence.
• MOT license preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and service vehicles to the highest standards.
• Deliver first-time fixes with quality workmanship.
• Follow manufacturer procedures and EV training when required.
• Maintain tools and keep the workshop safe and efficient.

Join our team at Vertu Ford Stoke and become a valued Commercial Service and Diagnostic Technician.

We are offering a basic salary between £28,000 - £38,600 depending on skills and experience. This is based on a 40-hour working week and Saturdays paid as overtime and an additional over-performance bonus opportunity.

We are also offering a £4000 sign on bonus, £2000 paid in month one and £2000 paid in month 13!

Your role as a Vehicle Technician is crucial in delivering an exceptional customer experience, built on trust and honesty. We are expanding our team and currently seeking skilled individuals who take pride in their work. You will be responsible for diagnostic, repair and servicing vehicles to the highest standards. Your expertise across all aspects of the job will be essential, from straightforward servicing to complex repairs. Quality workmanship and achieving first-time fixes are core values that guide everything we do.

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:

• A relevant formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3
• Current experience as a Vehicle Technician
• MOT license preferred but not essential
• Your own set of tools
• A full UK driving licence
