Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited is recruiting for a Vehicle Technician to join a well-established main dealership in Wolverhampton. The role requires either a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or a Level 2 qualification with 3 years' experience, and a full UK driving licence.

You will service and repair a diverse fleet of rental vehicles at customer sites using a fully equipped company van, with opportunities for overtime and a performance bonus.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Alternatively Level 2 Technician/Mechanic with at least 3 years' experience.
• Own a well-stocked toolbox suitable for workshop duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service and repair a diverse fleet of rental cars and vans.
• Operate as a standalone mechanic at customer sites or roadside locations with a company support vehicle.
• Work on diagnostics, electrics, braking systems, clutches and gearboxes.

Pay / salary:Up to £32,000 basic, plus bonus and over time, OTE Up to £45,000

Job Responsibilities for the Mobile Vehicle Technician role

• Your primary duty is to maintain, service and repair a diverse fleet of rental cars and vans directly at customer sites or roadside locations. You will act as a standalone mechanic, operating out of a fully equipped company support vehicle to keep business clients mobile.
• The fleet consists of around 75% Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs) and 25% cars, giving you great variety and the chance to enhance your skills across different vehicle types.
• Working on diagnostics, electrics, braking systems, clutches and gearboxes.
