Job summary

Halfords National Tyres and Autocare is seeking a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic in Coalville. You will service and repair vehicles, including complex tasks like clutches, timing belts, and diagnostics, across braking, steering and suspension systems.

A Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience is required, along with a clean driving licence. You’ll join a leading motoring services group offering extensive benefits, a comprehensive training path including ATA/MOT

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Must hold a full driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experienced technician/mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work and complex repairs (brakes, steering/suspension, engine).

• Carry out servicing and repair/replacement work.
• Perform more complex tasks such as clutch and timing belt replacements and diagnostics.
• Diagnostic work on brakes, steering/suspension, and engine components.

• Comprising a base salary of £31,480 - £33,500

As a Vehicle Technician/ Mechanic, you will be already skilled in servicing and repair/replacement work. You'll have the ability to carry out more complex tasks such as clutches and timing belt replacements and diagnostics in areas such as vehicle electrics, brake steering and suspension systems.

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent OR time served experience
• Must have a full drivers licence with no more than 9 points
• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair and replacements (coolant/diesel injectors, head gasket, brakes, electrical)
