Job summary

Halfords is seeking a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to service and repair vehicles in our Autocentres. You will perform tasks from routine servicing to more complex work such as clutches and timing belt replacements and diagnostics.

The role offers a base salary of £32,000 with uncapped bonus and on-target earnings up to £38,700 and extensive employee benefits including generous leave, product discounts and pension.

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Must have a full drivers licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work and complex repairs.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair vehicles, including diagnostic checks.
• Carry out more complex tasks such as clutches, timing belt replacements and diagnostics on electrics, brakes, steering and suspension.

As a Vehicle Technician/ Mechanic, you will be already skilled in servicing and repair/replacement work. You’ll have the ability to carry out more complex tasks such as clutches and timing belt replacements and diagnostics in areas such as vehicle electrics, brake steering and suspension systems.
