Job summary

Wessex Garages seeks a Vehicle Technician to service, diagnose and repair a range of vehicles with a focus on first-time fixes and high customer satisfaction. You’ll receive full manufacturer training and work with modern workshop technology in a busy environment.

We require a full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 points) and a City & Guilds/NVQ in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair. Previous main dealer exposure is preferred but not essential, with a pattern of 8:30am–5:00pm Mon–Fri and

Qualifications

• A full manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Previous experience in a main dealer workshop is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of vehicles to the highest standards.
• Diagnosing and resolving issues, including non-routine defects, both in the workshop and during road tests.
• Continuously developing technical knowledge and staying up to date with brand standards.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the full satisfaction of customers.
• Taking part in regular training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of vehicles to the highest standards

• Making the most of our facilities and processes to maximise productivity
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the full satisfaction of our customers
• Helping us maintain industry-leading standards in workshop performance
• Taking part in regular training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge

What We’re Looking For

• A full manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
• Level 3 City & Guilds or NVQ in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• Previous experience in a main dealer workshop is preferred but not essential

Key information

• Working Pattern: 8:30am – 5:00pm Mon – Fri. Saturdays on a rota paid as OT
• Salary: Competitive plus bonus
