Job summary

Wessex Garages in Gloucester is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our modern workshop. You’ll perform servicing, maintenance and repairs on various vehicles with full manufacturer training and ongoing support to grow your career.

Qualifications

• Level 3 City & Guilds or NVQ in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Full manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Main dealer workshop experience preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs to high standards.
• Diagnosing and resolving issues, including non-routine defects.
• Continuously developing technical knowledge and brand standards.
• Maximising productivity using facilities and processes.
• Ensuring all work is safe, efficient and satisfying customers.
• Maintaining workshop performance through best practices.
• Participating in regular training to enhance skills.

As a Vehicle Technician with us, you’ll benefit from full manufacturer training and ongoing support to help you grow your technical career. You’ll be working with the latest tools and technology in a modern, well-equipped workshop.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of vehicles to the highest standards
• Diagnosing and resolving issues, including non-routine defects, both in the workshop and during road tests
• Continuously developing your technical knowledge and staying up to date with brand standards
• Making the most of our facilities and processes to maximise productivity
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the full satisfaction of our customers
• Helping us maintain industry-leading standards in workshop performance
• Taking part in regular training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge

What We’re Looking For

• A full manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
• Level 3 City & Guilds or NVQ in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• Previous experience in a main dealer workshop is preferred but not essential

Key information

• Working Pattern: 8:30am – 5:00pm Mon – Fri. Saturdays on a rota paid as OT
• Salary: Competitive
