Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited is seeking a Vehicle Technician for our client’s fast-fit automotive centre in Yeovil. You will perform light and full-service work, including fast-fit tasks, with training offered to gain Level 3 qualifications.

Role benefits include extensive training, progression opportunities, 32 days holiday, and a comprehensive benefits package. A UK driving licence is required to apply, and hybrid car knowledge is welcome.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence.
• Experience working as a Vehicle Technician (no qualifications needed).
• Passion for the automotive industry and desire to develop further.
• Interest in learning about Hybrid cars.

Responsibilities

• Light and full-service work on customer vehicles.
• Fast-fit duties such as brakes, exhausts, batteries and suspension parts.
• Operate wheel alignment machinery, interpret readings and adjust accordingly.
• Carry out tyre diagnostics, fast-fit replacements and repairs across makes.
• Work with the workshop team to hit targets and support colleagues.

Job description

Our client who is one of the UK's fastest growing fast-fit automotive business, are currently looking for a Vehicle Technician based at their retail centre in Yeovil.

As a Vehicle Technician you would be responsible for reviewing work on customers vehicles, completing wide range of fast fit mechanical work and light and full-service work.You do not need to be a qualified technician for this role. Our client is happy to put you through your qualifications!

Location and Pay

Location: Yeovil

Pay: £34,000 to £38,000 OTE: Uncapped and realistic £3,600

Shift and schedule: 08:30 - 17:30 Monday to Friday; Saturdays 08:30 - 16:00 on a rota with a day off in the week.

Responsibilities

• Light and full-service work
• Fast fit duties such as replacing and repairing brakes, exhausts, car batteries, suspension parts
• Operating precision wheel alignment machinery, interpreting readings, and completing accurate adjustments
• Carrying out precise tyre diagnostics, fast-fit replacements, and repairs across various vehicle makes
• Working with the rest of the workshop to achieve targets
• Work as a team with the other Vehicle Technicians

Qualifications
