Job summary

Our client in North Northamptonshire is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join its growing team. The role offers a basic salary of £36,000 with an OTE of £42,000 including bonus, and weekday hours (8:30am–5:30pm) with no weekend work.

You will diagnose faults, service and repair a range of vehicles, ensuring compliance with manufacturer standards. NVQ Level 3 is preferred but not essential; a supportive, family-run environment comes with the opportunity to work with a newly acquired

Key responsibilities for the successful Vehicle Technician include servicing, maintaining and repairing a variety of vehicles.

• Diagnosing faults using modern diagnostic equipment
• Repairing and replacing components, including brakes, suspension and transmission systems
• Ensuring all work meets manufacturer specifications and workshop standards
• Completing job cards and maintaining accurate service and repair records
• Working professionally as part of an experienced workshop team

Requirements

To be considered for this Vehicle Technician vacancy, you must have previous experience in a workshop environment.

• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
• Experience carrying out servicing, maintenance and general vehicle repairs
• Competence using modern diagnostic tools and equipment
• A professional, reliable and team-focused approach
