Job summary

Halfords is recruiting a Vehicle Service Technician in Great Yarmouth to perform interim, full and major services and related repair work. You will handle tyres, brakes, transmission, steering and suspension as part of a busy workshop team.

The role requires a Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or time served) and a full UK driving licence with up to 9 points. This position offers progression and extensive benefits to support your career development.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or time served)
• Full driving licence with no more than 9 points
• Experience delivering interim, full and major services and repairs (brakes, suspension, steering, etc)

Responsibilities

• Carry out interim, full and major services
• Perform follow-up repairs and replacements as required
• Work on tyres, brakes, transmission, steering and suspension components

Job description

• On-target earnings up to £40,910
• Comprising a base salary of £32,500 - £35,910
• An uncapped monthly bonus scheme with average additional earnings of £5,000 per year.

Skills and experience

• Must have a Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent OR time served experience
• Must have a full drivers licence with no more than 9 points
• Experience of delivering interim, full and major services plus relevant repair and replacement work (brakes, suspension and steering component replacement, air con service etc)
