Holt Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a busy workshop in Wearside. You will service, diagnose and repair a range of vehicles to manufacturer standards, with further training and clear opportunities for progression.

The role offers a competitive basic salary up to £40,000 with an achievable OTE up to £50,000 DOE, full-time permanent employment, and a modern dealership environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience.
• Previous dealership experience desirable.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude with a commitment to high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles to manufacturer standards.
• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on customer vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Record work and parts used; maintain a clean, safe workshop.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop; work with the team to deliver excellent customer service.

The Role

As a Vehicle Technician, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of vehicles to manufacturer standards. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality workmanship while helping to keep the workshop running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on customer vehicles
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
• Complete vehicle health checks and inspections
• Ensure all work is completed to manufacturer standards
• Accurately record work carried out and parts used
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop
• Work closely with the wider team to deliver excellent customer service

What We're Looking For

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
• Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience

• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
