Job summary

Auto Skills UK in Camberley is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician for a full-time, permanent role.

You will service, maintain and repair vehicles in a professional workshop, with a Monday–Friday pattern and no weekend work. The package includes a £35,000 basic salary and £45,000 OTE, with overtime opportunities and a strong employee benefits suite.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician within the automotive industry.
• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is required.
• Strong mechanical and technical skills are essential.
• Good diagnostic and fault-finding abilities are required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing and maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and technical faults.
• Complete mechanical repairs and assembly operations.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and productivity.
• Ensure all work complies with manufacturer and health and safety standards.
• Accurately document completed service and repair work.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and identify additional work where required.
• Work closely with Service Advisor's and workshop colleagues.
• Deliver excellent technical support and customer service.

Salary: £35,000 Basic | £45,000 OTE

Hours: Monday - Wednesday, 8:15am - 5:15pm | Thursday - Friday, 8:15am - 5:00pm, No Weekends (Overtime available)

The Role

As a Vehicle Technician, you’ll be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Your responsibilities will include:

About You

To be considered for this Vehicle Technician position, you’ll ideally have:

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• At least 2 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician within the automotive industry.
• Strong mechanical and technical skills.
• Good diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
• Your own tools and toolbox.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a busy workshop team.
• A full manual UK driving licence, subject to licence checks.
• The right to work in the UK. Sponsorship is not available.

An MOT Tester licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
