Job summary

Perfect Placement is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician for a prestigious main dealer in Canterbury, Kent. You will join a professional workshop team in a permanent role offering clear career development within a recognised automotive brand.

The role features a competitive basic salary up to £37,000, with OTE up to £45,000 through productivity and bonuses. Monday to Friday 8:30–17:00 with 1 in 3 Saturdays on a rota, plus ongoing manufacturer accredited training.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence essential.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience as Vehicle Technician or Mechanic preferred.
• Training provided for brands.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle health checks using advanced technology.
• Perform servicing according to manufacturer guidelines and customer requests.
• Carry out repairs and warranty work to high standards.
• Road test vehicles to confirm fault rectification.
• Complete all relevant documentation accurately and efficiently.
• Support the workshop team with additional tasks as required.

Duties of a Vehicle Technician

Requirements of a Vehicle Technician

• Full UK driving licence essential
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification required
• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic, ideally within a main dealer or reputable independent garage
• Motivated, ambitious, and eager to develop within the automotive industry
• Strong commitment to high standards and customer service
• Prior experience with reputable brands is advantageous but not essential, as full training is provided
