Job summary

Octane Recruitment is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a busy Canterbury dealership. You must hold a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, have previous Vehicle Technician or Mechanic experience, hold a Full UK Driving Licence and have the right to work in the UK.

The role offers a basic salary of £37,000 plus bonus, with an OTE of £45,000 uncapped and an additional £3,000 Productivity Bonus plus Time Saved Bonus Scheme.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Previous experience as Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician, Motor Vehicle Technician or Mechanic.
• Full UK Driving Licence and right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing in line with manufacturer guidelines.
• Complete vehicle health checks using modern workshop technology.
• Diagnose faults and complete authorised mechanical repairs.
• Carry out warranty repairs and complete the required documentation.
• Road test vehicles to confirm faults have been rectified.
• Complete workshop paperwork accurately and to a high standard.

Salary:£37,000basic + bonus

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, plus 1 in 3 Saturdays, 8:30am–12:30pm

Vehicle Technician Requirements

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician, Motor Vehicle Technician or Mechanic
• Experience from either a main dealership or independent garage will be considered
• Strong servicing, maintenance and repair skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work to high standards
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Right to work in the UK
• Previous manufacturer or brand experience is advantageous but not essential
